Image
During these pandemic times, it's essential to be vaccinated and immunized since it protects us from getting and transferring the disease. Vaccines are a protection for us and our fellow citizens from the virus that may kill us otherwise. But due to the rapid rise of misinformation, fake news, and harmful agendas around us and on the internet, some parents have become hesitant to vaccinate their children, saying it'll cause autism and many more harmful effects on the children even though it's the complete opposite. Immunizations have the ability to save your child's life. Your child can now be protected against more diseases than ever before thanks to advancements in medicine. Some illnesses that once hurt or killed thousands of kids have been completely eradicated, while others are on the verge of extinction, owing primarily to secure and safe vaccines. Polio is one instance of the major effect vaccines have had on our lives and the lives of future generations. Vacci...

A Season For Devotion

Image
Lenten season in the Philippines is an important and eventful season, often regarded as the most important religious event in the Philippines alongside Christmas. Many Filipino citizens express their religiosity in many traditions and practices as they remember and celebrate the journey of Christ to the cross. In our barangay, we celebrate Lenten season in our very own church named Padre Pio Pietrelcinia Church.   It gets busy and hectic because other people from neighboring barangays attend our church instead of the town church that is jam-packed with people and is a possible health hazard due to Covid-19. Citizens from our neighboring barangay such as Panay Norte and Cabigbigaan attend, with that many attendees the church better needs more volunteers and sakristans. I and my friends is already a sakristan on the church but we still need to go out and recruit some of our friends and families for volunteering and hopefully many will participate.   As a sakristan, I am t...

  a. What are the learning/discoveries that I have gained? b. What are the problems/challenges that I have encountered? c. How did I address these challenges? d. Moving on, I will… .   A.  In ICT Quarter-2 I learned to write HTML files and tags. How to apply color, font, font size, table, and many more.   B.  The challenges I encountered are more about my task management rather than the task itself. I sometimes pass my ICT modules and file a few days late.   C.  I will try to be on time by using managing apps to be more organized and orderly   D.  Moving on, I will be more organized, and hardworking. I will also avoid using my phone when in time for module because it causes me great distraction and a great cause of procrastination  Resources: (CbtPsychology) Giselle Franco and Dr. Silvia Galperin- https://cbtpsychology.com/productivity-procrastination/ Retrieved on January 21

Be festive and Be safe

Image
The Vigan Festival is a vibrant and lively festival showcasing energetic performances, carnivals, art showcases, and delicious food, but due to Vigan being a Unesco World Heritage City and a prominent tourist spot many people always gather especially during festivals. We can’t just shut down the festival, because closing a festival means turning down Its lavish history and culture that’s been following it for forever. Rules and Restrictions need to be implemented so that we can minimize or forgo the spread of Covid while remaining to enjoy the festival safely.   I may suggest the prohibiting of all food stalls and booths, food stall is one of the main suspects of having too many people crowded together eating without mask which increase the risk of the spread of covid. I recommend that the performance, acts, and art exhibit are the ones that should only be open, but even then people should follow the covid guidelines by standing 6 feet apart and occasionally using alcohol and sanit...

Challenge Breeds Opportunities

Image
In this new year of 2022 new challenges and changes will arise and going to take place that can change me into a better and stronger person. This year my mother will go overseas and help my sister by taking care of my niece while my sister works. This sounds wonderful but due to my mom leaving I'm gonna be left taking care of my disabled father while balancing house chores (i.e. Cooking, washing clothes, paying for bills,) and school works because we two are gonna be the only ones left. But I like the challenge and at the end of it all, it will make me a stronger and more determined person. With the challenge of my mom leaving I must change my old ways and be more productive and efficient with my schoolwork so that I can help my father more. I strive to be the better version of myself this year eliminating the bad habits and traits that affect my studies and personal life, my toxic traits like extreme procrastination and a cynical view on life need to be eradicated to make my life ...
