A KEY TO AN EFFECTIVE LEARNING

Image
The Department of education is doing its best to find an alternative or replacement for face-to-face classes. The aim of online or modular classes is to protect the student from the current pandemic. But I think modular or online classes are a downgrade from face to face due to the lack of guidance from teachers and the added distraction of cellphones and household chores.   Some students have an unhealthy work ethic that can affect their health. I’ve heard about students who answer their module all night and then sleep all day without exercise and with an unhealthy diet. I have also gone through this type of work ethic, staying up all night up until 3 am and then sleeping up to 2 pm. Some students and teachers also lack the equipment for a quality education like Internet access, phones, laptops, and printers.   But I appreciate the effort and hard work the teachers put in to our modules just to provide us with proper education. And students are also working hard and le...

To Be a Strong Country

Merriam-webster describes resilience as being “ able to withstand or recover quickly from difficult conditions ” so I’d argue that the Philippines is already a resilient country because Filipino’s are typically passionate, hardworking, and tough. Since the beginning, the Philippines is always facing natural or man-made calamities. S uch as Typhoons, Earthquakes, Terrorism (Abu Sayyaf), and many more.   What our country truly needs is a good or better government. Our current government right now is competent but we should always strive for a better country. 16.6% of the population of the Philippines or about 17.6 million people is below the poverty line and the increasing dept of Philhealth to hospitals reached an all-time high of 21.1 billion. It increased due to the Covid-19 pandemic. We need plans and solutions to fix these increasing problems. Our country must pick a deserving and better leader.   I think the older generation is a lot more resilient than this new one...

A letter from me to you

S eptember, 24, 2021   President. Rodrigo Duterte   Malaca ñ ang Palace     Dear President,     I sent you this letter to express my issues, opinions  and concerns to you, But first of all I liked what you did for war against drugs, some things just cant be solved by just talking.   I also want to discuss the rising teenage pregnancies in our country and its just keeps on rising. I want to suggest a way to stop or even lessen the problem. One of my schoolmate is now pregnant at the age of 17, and I think the reason is due to negligent parents and the lack of Sex Education in the curriculum  of schools specially in high school . In my experience We were only taught about the anatomy and how sex works in elementary but not about the practice of safe sex. In my opinion at our age we are grown and mature enough to learn about the practice of safe sex, the different sexually transmitted diseases and the negative impact of teenage pregnancy ...

My hobies, Dreams and Me!

My name is Kurt William Tabieros from Panay Sur, Magsingal, Ilocos Sur, Philippines and I’m 15 years old. My hobbies  are cooking, chess, reading comics, and listening to music. I find most things interesting but I hardly explore and only reach the surface level, there is the reason why I don’t have many hobbies. My hobbies make me happy and they’re a part of who I am. I want to discover more of these hobbies that I will enjoy in the future.   My interest in cooking arose unexpectedly, as I was left hungry and alone in the house when I noticed that my family had gone to get groceries. Coincidentally, all of the ingredients for chicken adobo were available, so I looked up how to cook adobo online and attempted  it, and ever since then, I've always tried to cook different dishes using different recipes because I find cooking therapeutic, soothing, and comforting. While  I've had an interest in chess since I was a child because my father and brother were always p...
